Kindred

Kindred is a relationship between two types that shares the same leading function, i.e. IEI/INFJ and ILI/INTJ. It’s a relationship that’s characterized by a very good understanding, similar to the one of interquadral relations.

Since the two types shares the same leading process (and consequentially their suggestive, ignoring and role function), they have their worldview and main program in common, as well as their deeper longings and wishes. This is the cause for great feelings of familiarity, and makes up for easy conversations on almost anything. However, in the long run, the similarity in worldview and goals can make it somewhat boring.

The difference between them, the creative, mobilizing, demonstrative and vulnerable function, creates a very, especially in closer relationships, apparent and obvious difference. The creative function of one person (IEI and Fe), is the point of least resistance of the other (ILI). That the implementing function of one person is the weakest spot of the other can easily cause friction.

All in all, it’s a positive relationship, characterized of strong similarities, but problems might arise since you use different and clashing ways to implement something. They’re often described as able to walk around and talk forever, because of the shared similarities.

Kindred is the ITR between:
INFJ – INTJ
ISFJ – ISTJ
ISFP – INFP
ISTP – INTP
ESTJ – ENTJ
ESFJ – ENFJ
ESFP – ESTP
ENFP – ENTP
